Monitoring has become increasingly important as a tool in Orchard and Berry Management.  Protect your crops by understanding the presence of pests in your orchard.

Apple Maggot
(Rhagoletis pomonella)
Monitor using our improved trapping system consisting of super-yellow Rhagoletis Trap and an apple volatile lure. Place 3-5 traps/hectare (3-5 traps/2-3 acres) in addition to one trap every 100 m (yd.) along block boundaries. Trapping systems are also available for other Rhagoletis species: Cherry Fruit Fly and Walnut Husk Fly.

Codling Moth
(Cydia pomonella)
To monitor conventional orchards use our quality CM 1x red rubber septa and the Wing Trap or convenient Wing Trap II. Position traps mid-canopy at a rate of 1 trap/ hectare (1 trap/2-3 acres) to gauge codling moth population levels and timing. Problem borders and traditional hot spots require additional traps.

CM SuperLure

To monitor mating disruption blocks, use our CM SuperLure (Bubble lure).  Outperforms 10x red septa and needs only to be changed two or three times each season. Reliability as well as savings in labour makes this lure an outstanding choice. Quality CM 10x red rubber septa are also available. Use with Plastic Delta Trap, Wing Trap, or Wing Trap II.  Placed high in the canopy at 1 trap/hectare (1 trap/2-3 acres). Problem borders and traditional hot spots require additional traps.
